HELLOOOOOO everyone....when I say "everyone" I mean all two people (possibly less) that will end up reading this. I haven't written in FOREVER. I've thought about it, but just never got around to doing it. A LOT has happend (obviously) since I last wrote back in June. I'll try to sum it all up quickly.
-The Harry Potter costume party went extremely well at work. the kids seemed to have fun, and my costume was a hit
-June and July was a mess of running around, crying, and horrible things you don't want to know about....but It'll all work out in the end.
-Saw Harry Potter 5 two times...one with Jon, one with Rae. both times it was AMAZING.
-I took my mom out to dinner for her birthday...it was alright.
-Rachel was fired from Borders.....drunk loser. Thank God she's gone. Kate is now our supervisor ^_^ another cafe person was fired too...Borders rewards fraud.
-The Harry Potter book release was INSANE. "Insane" is an understatement. HOLY CRAP! I was supposed to do a palm reading thing but I couldn't leave the cafe counter. Our entire staff was there (all three of us). I was ready to pull my hair out. Laura was kind of funny though when she got angry. LOL. Kate was totally calm like nothing was happening. The line went around to the wall, then back around to the front door. We were supposed to close at midnight, but we ended up closing a little bit after...Nora had to stand at the end of the line and say "no more customers"...it was getting that crazy. The store looked like a bomb went off when all was said and done. At the same time, it was a lot of fun....not that I would ever want to do it again. We were incredibly slap-happy by the end of the night...it was HILARIOUS. The quote of the night definatly was: "Behold the power of Kate!!....which is similar to the power of cheese!"
- We hired two new cafe people and I think a third one is on the way. so far I've only had to train one of them....thankfully.
-I managed to avoid seeing my grandfather the entire month he was here. YES! Another wave of insults was successfully avoided! I was actually all prepared to see him too...but stuff came up. Stuff that I'm not complaining about at all.
-I saw "I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry" with Jon.....AWESOME movie. LOL.
-I brought Rae over to have dinner with my dad and Denise and we watched "Cars". It was fun ^_^
-Lauren and I went to see Dave Matthews!!! it was AMAZING. Absolutely incredible.
-Went out with Zack on Monday night after not seeing him for quite some time...was cool to catch up with him :)
-My birthday is coming up...and I'm excited ^_^...why? I don't really know. I'm not going to drink.
-I'm taking vacation the first week of September...and I need it...BADLY. I Think I'm going to the casino. I've been saving my tips from work :). I had an idea today to go to the Rock and Roll hall of fame durring my vacation too...but I don't think thats going to happen. It's a 9 hour drive. lol.
-On Saturday my dad and I are going to see Counting Crows and Collective Soul. SOOOOOOOOOOO excited.
- I've been watching the Gilmore Girls obsessively (been getting the DVDs from netflix) and have developed a liking for Luke, Sookie and Richard. Kirk is pretty funny too. lol. I find Michelle's character really obnoxious..and Rory is getting there too.
-Today I took a six mile walk today to clear my head. Came back and was sweating my ass off so I jumped in my pool. Now I'm slightly sunburned.
huh. I don't think I left anything out. If I did, I'll be sure to tell you all about it as soon as I remember :-P
now, its time for bed.
