So, Here's my problem(s) with today. Today is the inauguration of our new president. Leading up to this day I've been observing the behavior of my peers and I have to say that I'm less than thrilled. We did not elect a president.....we elected a pop star. He may as well have won American Idol or have come out with a hit single called "my presidential humps". Now, that's not really his fault...I highly doubt he wanted it to be that way. I'm sure he's trying to do be professional. But I am really tired of it. He'll probably be hosting the VMA's this year. John McCain was a president.....Rudy Giuliani was a president....and hell, as much as I didn't like her, Hilary Clinton was a president. He's a Brad Pitt and a Tom Cruise minus the looks. We're living in a Jonas Brothers/ Hannah Montana world and It's really making me sick.
Also, I am SO FREAKING FED UP with people who think that he is they key to everything. That once he's in office everyone will all of a sudden have jobs and be able to afford their mortgage payments, businesses will re-open, the war will stop, and everyone will join hands around the world. Things will still be bad. I suppose the good thing that may come out of that is people may change their attitudes and outlooks on things...which is good. We could definitely use some better attitudes now a-days. But also, part of the problem is that most of these people think that the world should be all hummingbirds and butterflies. And yeah, wouldn't it be great if it was that way. But that's not how it is. And chances are, it will never be that way. And holding your peace signs and signing petitions is not going to change that. NO ONE is going to do or not do something just because you're standing outside holding a sign. "Uht, better disarm, men...they've got signs...." Haha. As the Goo Goo Dolls once said, "Sleeping on the White House lawn a'int never changed a thing".

"Oooo! Obama's president...I'll be safe once Obama is president!!! In the mean time I'll go out and buy comic books and coffee mugs and toilet seat covers with his face on them!!! yay!!! that will be swell!!" I really want to see the look on all of their faces if he screws up. I can imagine someone sitting in a house with posters and everything around them with obama's face on it and then just freaking out and throwing it all out the window. Huh. That may be my first short film.

I'm willing to give him a chance. I'm willing to give him a bit of rope....I just pray that he doesn't hang me with it.

However, I am not willing to give Joe Biden a chance. He's a rotten skin-flint. And that is never going to change. By the end of the vice-presidential debate I was ready to drive to his house and punch him in the face. A dust bunny could be a better vice president than him. In fact, if it was Obama and the dust bunny getting inaugurated today I would feel that much better about it.

Lewis Black said it best.... Ronald Reagen's time has come again.

DISCLAIMER: All of the things written here are the views/opinions of ME. I'm not writing in here to make you happy. I'm writing here to make me happy. Thats why it's MY page. I don't care if we don't have the same tastes or disagree about things. We're all different, and you're welcome to your opinions. You may find many things about me that you don't like. But when it boils down to it, I don't care. If you don't like what I write, don't read it.
ABOUT ME:
I'm normal, but I'm completely different. I should have been born about 20 years before I actually was. Most of the music I listen to, the way I dress, and the way I think all go back to that time. As a result, I relate a lot better to people who are older than me. I'm completely independent and rely on nobody except myself (and God). I've been living on my own for 3 years. I didn't really go to college. My goals were just different than most peoples. I wanted to be out on my own and working rather than sitting in a classroom with no real direction. Besides, school is just not for me. I enjoy learning when I'm not forced to do it. I read constantly and am always learning new things. I hope to be involved with TV, music, or movies in someway. I would also love to write. I'm a realist. I have an excellent head on my shoulders. I have more common sense than most people. The most important thing in my life is my relationship with God. The best advice I can give to anyone is laugh.....always :)
